01; voice/action
A-ah...I didn't finish all of the laundry...The kitchen needs to be swept, too...
[It's the hushed voice of a young man, sounding both longing and peaceful. Gremio, sitting against the side of a building near the fountain, doesn't register the change in scenery quite immediately. But several seconds later...]
E-eh? C-could this be-?
[He's not sure what he expected to see upon dying, but this...probably wasn't it.]
[It's the hushed voice of a young man, sounding both longing and peaceful. Gremio, sitting against the side of a building near the fountain, doesn't register the change in scenery quite immediately. But several seconds later...]
E-eh? C-could this be-?
[He's not sure what he expected to see upon dying, but this...probably wasn't it.]
action!
Of course not. I never need an excuse, Young Master!
action!
Then I look forward to it. [ And now he'll get up to actually brew the tea. Still talking, though. ] Though if you want to relax, I can treat you today.
action!
N-nonsense, Young Master! There is no need to trouble yourself over such a thing. I have a new stew recipe I did not have the chance to try, so allow me to prepare it for you. In the meantime, you can tell me more about this strange place.
action!
Haha, all right. I can't wait to try this new stew of yours. [ We better have everything for it!! ]
[ He brings over two cups for the two of them. What did Gremio like in his tea again? Tyr doesn't remember. ...Hope you like your tea as sweet as Tyrs, Gremio. ] Anyway, about what I was going to say... The way time works here is strange.
action!
[He thanks Tyr for the tea, takes a sip--ah, now that's nice and warm! And he doesn't mind it sweet.] You said...ah, s-something like that before, yes?
action!
[ Sip sip, delicious tea. This will warm them up! ] Yeah... Sometimes, people are from the past and the future... And that's probably why you don't remember Riou.
action!
[And at this point, he almost drops his teacup.] W-wha--H-h-how is that possible?
action!
[ ...Maybe he should have given him the drink after talking. Tyr shakes his head. ] I don't know. There are actually... a lot of things here that shouldn't be possible.
action!
[He won't go picking it up again just yet in case Tyr surprises him with something else...] A-ah...Y-yes, I suppose so. [His being here is proof of that, isn't it?]
Before you came to get me, Luc said a magic spell teleported us here. Did the same thing happen to you?
action!
...Yeah, something like that. Riou and I weren't exactly teleported, but it was something magical.
[ He swishes his tea in its cup, thinking. ]
action!
[A little calmer again, he takes another sip of tea. Warm as it is, it doesn't seem to linger--he can feel the heat when he swallows it, yet that warmth doesn't stay or reach the rest of his body.]
action!
[ This is harder to explain to someone you care about. Especially when Gremio is drinking. He'll just have to bite the bullet, though. ]
There are curses that can be dangerous, but... I'll help you through them.
action!
C-curses, Young Master? What sort of curses? Have you been all right?!
action!
There are all types; they're not all bad. --Actually...
[ Tyr: Master of Distractions. He gets up and goes off to his room and retrieves the now-still snow globe of Gregminster. Back to sitting beside Gremio with a smile. Yes, he'll never suspect Tyr was cut up at the end of October! ]
I got this in a curse yesterday.
action!
This is--the capital! With every detail, too...[His eyes linger on the McDohl household for a second before he looks back to Tyr.] But I would hardly call this a curse, Young Master!
action!
[ Tyr is just going to keep the snowglobe between them. At least Gremio didn't arrive yesterday, when Tyr thought he could see people they would recognise walking around. ]
People are usually changed in some way. Either their appearance or their personality changes in some way... Some of the curses are like this and just have to do with objects, but it's not as common.
action!
Th-they w-were--Y-Y-Young Master, th-that's--did anyone try to eat you?!
[The explanation's vague enough not to send him into a panic, at least...]
action!
I fought off the ones that tried. I wasn't that delicate at the time despite... the difference.
action!
Y-Y-Young M-Master...I-I'm--I'm so relieved y-you weren't devoured! W-what if a pack of dogs had come after you? W-what would have happened?
action!
What? Gremio, I'm not defenseless... If they were out of control, I could incapacitate them with my staff or fire rune... It only lasted a day anyway, so...
action!
Y-yes, you're right, of course. But still, I...Since when did you acquire a fire rune, Young Master?
action!
It was... about four months ago... I was able to get it attached to my left hand during a curse.
action!
...And the Soul Eater is still on your right hand.
action!
That's right... I promised Ted, so... It'll always be here...
action!
It's a difficult burden. But I know you're strong enough to carry it--Ted entrusted it to you because he knew that, as well.
