Resolutions are quite an interesting tradition, and certainly one to appreciate! Working hard to reach your goals for the year...I resolved to help a busy man named Santa--or is he Father Christmas? In any case, it would be wonderful to assist him in bringing presents to good people.

So, to that end, I will be collecting "pin-up magazines"! Young Master, would you happen to have any?

[ SUPPRESSED MEMORIES. Tyr gawks for a moment at that, then shakes his head. ] There's no way we did that when I was little! --What would Dad have said about that?

[Gremio worries a little, not certain why Tyr's so upset or why he doesn't remember reading stories together.] B-but, Young Master, we did...Master Teo was usually busy elsewhere, however, I do recall him joining us on rare occasions.

[ Deeply, deeply suppressed memories. His hand goes and buries itself in his fringe. ] I don't want to know any more. I preferred not remembering.

I...I'm sorry, Young Master--I thought they would have been fond memories for you, as well. [Because Gremio misses those times.]

[stargathering]

[ Tyr misses happy times like that...sorta. ] I have a lot of happy memories with you from when I was little, but... I liked them better before I found out there were magazines like that involved...

Young Master, I- [He's having so much trouble making sense of this, really.] M-my apologies, but since you enjoyed them so much at the time...I didn't realize that had changed.

[stargathering]

You should know a grown man enjoys things like that in a completely different way. [ He keeps his voice like a soft mumble. This is too weird. ]

[Oh! And Gremio thinks he understands, now--Tyr is embarrassed about liking children's books, now that's older.] Y-yes, you're right. I did not mean to embarrass you, Young Master, but please don't feel it's something you must be ashamed about. No matter how much you've grown, children's stories will always hold a certain charm.

[stargathering]

...Children's stories? [ What? Gremio isn't making sense now. ]

[Oh, he hopes this strange amnesia curse isn't afflicting Tyr!] Yes, Young Master. Do you remember? I had a book of fairy tales for you that we read almost every day.

[stargathering]

[ That would be awful! Thankfully it isn't, and he blinks as the memories resurface - without the pin-up magazines. ] ...I remember that. Is that what you were talking about this whole time?

[Yes, thankfully! Gremio sighs in relief, going so far as to bring a hand to his chest (more out of habit; it isn't as though his heart is ever pounding).] Oh, that's good...Yes--W-well, perhaps not children's stories specifically, but rather books and other readings in general.

[stargathering]

[ ...it took me a moment to realise what you meant there, cryyyy. ] I think I know what you mean now... [ Or he hopes he does. ] The fairy tales were better than most of the other readings, though...

[/hugs~!] I'm glad you thought so! I must admit, they were more fun than the history texts I had to give you.

[Though now he has to wonder...] Ah, but Young Master, what did you think I was talking about before? Y-you seemed a little...uncomfortable.

[stargathering]

[ Tyr wouldn't mind reminiscing forever, but at Gremio's question, he swallows the lump in his throat. ] Ah- What did you think "pin-up magazines" were? [ Deflection! ]

[Deflection succesful, as Gremio laughs a little sheepishly.] Actually, I'm not familiar with the term, though maybe I would know if I saw one...The man I spoke to said they were beautiful, so I wonder--paintings, perhaps?

[stargathering]

...They're not really paintings here... [ Sheepish for a different reason. ] They're magazines with pictures of women in them...

[Initially, Gremio smiles in understanding. Finally, now he'll be able to look for them!] Ah, I see! So that would be why he-

[Hang on...He's starting to get a sinking feeling about this. It's just his suspicions, though, right? Surely it can't be that...]

Y-Young Master...Just women?

[stargathering]

... [ He can read the look on Gremio's face loud and clear, but why lie about this? ] There are usually separate books for men and women...

[As that sinks in...the look on his face just becomes gradually more horrified. He may not have recognized the term, but the concept was a different story. Cue flailing!]

Aah! Th-they are-! Th-th-this whole time, I...How in...i-i-indecent!

[He can't believe he was going to actually build a collection of these for someone! Something so...What if the young master had...]

Y-Young Master... [Wait a moment...] You are...y-y-you're familiar with them?

[stargathering]

I'm not exactly twelve anymore, Gremio! [ Said so quickly and defensively. This horrible conversation feels like it's reached its climax. He's sure Gremio can put this together... ]

[Oh, he can...he definitely can, unfortunately, and his attempt to speak comes out more like a distraught wail.] Y-Y-Young Masteeer-!

[Gremio knows that Tyr's older, knows he's old enough, he's a young man, he's interested in girls, but...but--Gremio still thinks of him as the young master!]

[ The fact he still looks fourteen doesn't help! ...Which makes me wonder who sold him the magazines if he actually owns them. He knows this wasn't something anyone needed to know, but he keeps himself cool. Cool as he can. ] Calm down! It's not a big deal!
