11; Giving Thanks

It's certainly a relief that those monster attacks have ended for the time being. I only hope anyone affected by these strange events will recover soon.

But in spite of these unpleasant occurrences...I really am grateful to be here. To have this second chance after death--this is already so much more than I could ever hope to ask for.

Thank you. Words cannot express the depth of my appreciation, though I'm afraid they're all I have to offer.

[If Gremio was worried about bringing it up for Aska and Tyr to hear, it's nothing compared to his panic as Ted responds. He wasn't supposed to mention anything about the future to Ted--that was what Tyr had asked of him.

And failing those expectations weigh more heavily on his mind than his own death. That, and causing Ted to worry.]

Forgive me, Ted. I...should not have mentioned that.

[Is it really? Will it ever really? To think Gremio also died some time in the future. Ted knows he himself will. He can feel it even if Gremio and Tyr hides it from him.]

Y-yes...you're right, of course. [It would be difficult to talk about his own death, but not as difficult as upsetting Ted or Tyr. That, as always, has more importance to Gremio.

He doesn't bring up what Tyr told him--that he would return to life one day. It doesn't seem right to mention that when the same won't be done for Ted...And Gremio feels a hint of guilt for it.]

...It may not be something we have any say in, however...Ted, let us be with him as long as he stays.

He'll spend all his time with his best friend because this time here will not be repeated by the time he goes back home. He doesn't know much about the future, but he knows it's not looking good for him.]
