Really now, a curse that causes illness...What a miserable thing.

[With both Luc and Katara sick yesterday, Gremio has decided to get up nice and early so nobody could stop him and make a nice breakfast to help them feel better. There is, of course, one problem with that:

He still doesn't remember how to cook.]

The young master did say this contraption was for cooking...Oh, what is the cooking time for noodles in a...toaster? I can't tell if they're done at all!

[The reason for that could be the smoke coming out of it. In addition, he has a can of soup heating on the stove--an unopened can, that is, just sitting on the burner.]

[ooc: A-apartmentmates (and Katara, if she's still there) feel free to action this disaster? :D]

[Well, Katara just got out of bed, feeling all good, when she sees that smoke. Oh no.]

Gremio... why is there smoke coming out of there?

Oh, good morning, Katara! Are you sure you should be up? Are you feeling better?

[Gremio is strangely calm about the smoke. That doesn't necessarily mean it's burning, after all.]

Because it's cooking, I believe...

Good morning to you too, Gremio. Yeah, I'm feeling better. [But enough of that.] Are you... sure? And I think you don't cook soup with the can.

That's a relief--you're absolutely certain? [Because fretting over Katara's health is more important than cooking.

Though he does blink curiously.] Oh, is that right? Then how should I heat it...Let me see if I can find a frying pan.

I am. You really don't have to worry. [Giving Gremio a small smile, she approaches him in the kitchen. Okay, now where's that appropriate cooking tool. Ah, there it is!]

You heat it with this. [She holds up a pot and sets it on the burner.] You open the can and pour the soup here.

All right, then...If you start feeling unwell at all, please be sure to rest again! [He's relieved, though--both that she's all right and that she knows what she's doing in the kitchen.]

Oh, thank you! You and the young master are both so knowledgeable...I should hope I can learn soon and be a better help. [At this point, he's forgotten that he ever knew how to cook in the first place.]

I will. [She assures him, but after hearing all he said, she blinks, alarmed.] But, Gremio... you knew how to cook before. You were usually the one making stew for us. For Tyr.

[That brings up his concern about Katara again.] Are you certain that...You don't have me mistaken for someone else? I've never learned to cook, as useful a skill as it is.

[Katara's eyes go even wider.] That can't be true! You've cooked for us several times. You can even ask Tyr!

[Getting worried! And a little confused, but worry takes priority.] Katara, I-I'm not so certain that ruining one breakfast counts as several times...

[Worry takes over surprise by now.] But Gremio... you-- you remembered cooking just yesterday. You just don't know how to.

[This is such a strange conversation. He doesn't want to worry her, but he really doesn't know.] Well, yes--I-I know of cooking, though I have truly never tried it until now.

[ I can't believe you actually went for these disasters ds;kjg. As for Tyr, he feels bad ever saying you could use a toaster to cook. ] Gremio, have you lost it?

[After talking about them, they just seemed too good to pass up. 8D Gremio, though, is simply confused. And not at all bothered by the fact the toaster is smoking.] Y-Young Master, am I using it in the wrong way? I don't think they're lost...but I'm afraid it's difficult to tell.

[ And they likely are. 8D Tyr doesn't even know what to do about it. Dang it, Gremio, he liked not having to use the oven for toast. ] The toaster is only for bread, and-- You didn't put water in there, too, did you?

[Excellent. X) Gremio tries to process both of those, scratching his cheek.] Oh, ah--J-just for bread? N-no, there's no water...Should I add some, then? [Moving towards the sink...!]

[stargathering]

[ GRABBING GREMIO'S SLEEVE. ] That'd cause an actual fire! I'll just do the cooking for now.

I-i-it would?! [And he stops immediately! He doesn't want to burn down the house.] A-ah, yes...M-my apologies, Young Master...It seems I could use some more practice before I try to cook for you again...

[stargathering]

Yeah... [ Should he just...? There's a set of horrible cracking sounds as Tyr turns off the toaster. ] Have you forgotten how to use the equipment in here?

[Since he doesn't want to cause any more catastrophes, Gremio just stands back and lets Tyr do what has to be done.] Forgotten...? Young Master, I--I've never used any of this equipment before now.

[stargathering]

You put all our toast in the stove? [ Sob, Gremio is such a good servant! ] ...I'll show you how to use it.

Is that how you make it, Young Master? [Gremio is such a confused servant sob.]

[stargathering]

What? What type of question is that? [ And Tyr is a confused master. ]

[That gets him a blink and a hesitant response. So much confusion!] Er...Is that typically how you make your toast? I-I should probably learn, so that I might help with meals...
